The Deckled Edge

I was put on this earth to read a certain number of books. I am now so far behind I will never die.

Julian Comstock: A Story of 22nd-Century America - Robert Charles Wilson This book was pretty well written, but to me it seemed to lack a certain tension or heft. It didn't really feel like anything important was happening. Part of the problem might be that the narrator writes in a too matter of fact way. Plus, the political and religious commentary is rather obvious instead of subtle. It just felt like the book settled for being merely good when it could have been great.
