The Deckled Edge
I was put on this earth to read a certain number of books. I am now so far behind I will never die.
I thought this was a well written book featuring a young German girl and book thief set during WW2. I applaud the author's decision not to write yet another Holocaust story and instead focus on how the war shapes this young girl's life. Though I don't think the "Death as Narrator" concept was nearly as clever as the author seemed to think it was.
